dreams

Havent been blogging in while. suffering from writers....er....blogger blocked...:P haha.... anyway, something urge me to write today...
Lately i been quite involve with a charity work. Its about providing free tuition for less fortunate teenagers/kids. Basically, its more abt spending time with them... or just chit chat with them. I been doing it for a while already. But i took on a position in the committee now, where i'm in charge of a sum of money given by the govt to be used on the kids. Quite a lot of responsibilities, but, i like the challenge. :)
Our society is called "making dreams". Yet everytime i spend time with this kids, i start to wonder are we helping to make dreams or squashing it.
Remember that friend of you, which went against all odds, stopped school and toured the world, or that friend that used up all her saving, to go serve with no pay in Africa. Or, that straight A friend which gave up the high pay job in the city and went to teach in the rural areas....
I was reading the Phantom with one of the kid that day, and she was telling me her passion in theater. It was at the tip of my tongue to tell her that, "that's a great hobby. But lets focus on how to get u into Uni for accounting." Since when did i start squashing other's dream.
I was wondering then, there is this boy, while he was growing up, he dream of travelling the world. All the websites save in his favourites are travel website. He wants to go and see all the great and the worst in the world. So while he was 18, he wanted to reject that Uni offer and travels the world. His parents didnt approve, his teacher thought it was dumbest idea, his friends said "dude, u kidding me???" So he gave in. He stayed. He got through Uni, climbed the corporate ladder. Then maybe one day, he was staying late in the office, trying to finish a proposal, he took a break, serve the net... then he came across a picture of that beach, that town, that river, that mountain, that place... then he wonder... what if... what if...
I always like to work with kids, because, at the end of the day, they give more then i can ever give.

Ironic

The irony was....
I thought that by being the first to say goodbye,
I won the game.
Little did I know,
It was a one-man show all along

Not your average movie review

Just finished watching Sex and the City (the Movie) and absolutely love it. However, the best moment of the show for me, was not when Carrie wore the gorgeous Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, nor was when John Jason Preston proposed to Carrie. It was not when Charlotte pooped in her pants, nor was it when Samantha lay on the table with only sushi covering her body. And Gosh, it was not Dante’s showering scene, although it does make my knee week and my hearth skipped a million beats… But it was when Carrie first time opened the brand new all white Build-in closet… there you go, that was my big “O” moment... cause, “They say nothing lasts forever; dreams change, trends come and go, but BUILD-IN CLOSET never go out of style” ( haha, okla.. it was Carrie’s word where I modified it a little :P)

I looking forward to hearing...

I gave in today.
Just because I was too lazy to defend,
I chose to go against my pricipal.
When did it happend?
When did our own principle become too troublesome to defend?
I think it was when we grew up.

第二個

沒有你的台北市﹐
少了一些期待。
你回來了的台北市﹐
竟覺得多了些寂寞。
